“Let's Eat” Premiere at San Diego International Film Festival!

In 2019, I had the pleasure of playing on the soundtrack of the fabulous animated film “Let’s Eat” by Anamon Studios with a wonderful, small group of musicians in the recording studio. The original score, composed by Max Loh, so beautifully compliments this moving film. Let’s Eat tells the story of a Chinese-American mother and daughter, and their relationship with each other, often centralized around cooking.

“Let’s Eat” premiered in October at San Diego International Film Festival, which adapted itself seamlessly for social distancing by offering both virtual and drive-in options of films. While the short films premiered online, my partner and I were actually able to attend one of the drive-in film options. No detail was left unattended, and the event was organized, safe, and a relaxing change of pace. I left feeling uplifted and hopeful that we can continue to adapt our arts and culture experiences in this temporarily challenging season of life.

I look forward to seeing the continued success of this beautiful film, which brings much-needed representation of women and Asian-Americans in the animation world. Next up is the Asian American Film Festival in Hollywood! Read more about the film on its website.
