Virtual Music & Arts Camp 2021: July 12-16

Open to Violinists, Violists, and Cellists Entering Grades 4-8

*Other instrumentalists are welcome to enroll in listed electives

Camp 2020 Highlights!


Details & Tuition

Virtual Camp (Zoom): $425

  • Sibling Discount! $400 for each additional camper

  • Enroll a non-string instrument musician in all courses except for group strings class: $300 per camper

  • Elective: Sibling Chamber Music Course (2 coaching sessions and performance) for campers and sibling(s): additional $200 per ensemble

  • All campers will receive schedule of events and camp T-shirt prior to camp

Courses Include the Following (All Classes are 45 minutes in length!)

  • 5 Group Suzuki Book 1 & 2 Classes for Cello or Violin/Viola

Group Classes are an integral part of the Suzuki experience; they will combine performance, games, discussion and confidence-building for the stage.

  • 5 Music History Classes, Level I (Elementary School) and Level II (Middle School)

In this course, your child will learn to identify major elements of the Classical Music Eras through listening activities and fun discussions. Other topics will include music and science, music and stories, development of string instruments, and the instrument families of the orchestra with special guests!

Breathe, move and relax with proven mindset and movement practices that build healthy sustainable habits for happy successful futures. Touching toes is not required!

  • 2 Cooking Classes

A child-friendly cooking class with musical surprises! Adult supervision required. The ingredient list, provided ahead time, will be simple and consist mostly of household staples.

  • 2 Creative Writing Classes by author/teacher Katherine Freedman- Middle Schoolers

Students will investigate the connections between writing, music, and art. After learning about how writers are inspired by music and artwork, students will write their own poems about a classical song and a painting, selected by the teacher.

  • 2 Arts and Crafts Classes- Elementary school only

Students will construct artistic practice aids as well as multimedia reflections on their music.

  • Final Camp Concert on Friday, July 16

Friends and family are welcome to attend!

  • Optional Elective: 2 Sibling chamber Music Coachings

Are you one of the lucky families that have multiple budding musicians? If so, sign up for sibling chamber music! We will communicate directly with you to pick a piece and rehearse it over the course of the camp, culminating in a performance during our live Final Recital. Private coaching sessions with both Carlyn and Victoria and will be scheduled prior to the start of the camp.
